The Aurelia Bulldogs won the county title for the fifth straight year with a 38 to 36 victory over Cleghorn. Mose Beeghley led scoring with 46 points, as Aurelia topped Grand Meadow and Meriden en route to the trophy coached by Russell E. Null with captain Glenn Beeghley.
Local pastors urge parents to join a religious education census in Aurelia public schools. Cards will be given to children to assess church involvement and encourage moral and religious welfare in the community.
