Mr and Mrs Merle Anderson and others attended the Grain Dealers Convention in Des Moines last week. They left Sunday afternoon and returned Wednesday. Mrs Harold Anderson visits Rochester with her mother Mrs Jake Kas of Sutherland. Anderson drove them to Rochester Thursday and returned Sunday. Mrs David Dibkeyv of Lafayette Indiana visits Jerry Anderson’s home this week. Dinner guests at Carl Ammons include Mr and Mrs Fred Kolpin and Mr and Mrs William Booth. Carl Lighter of Sioux City visited Elen Lighter and family for Friday events.

Aurelia Science Club Meets in January Session

The Aurelia Science Club met on Wednesday January 27. Dean Fassler demonstrated the resuscitator device belonging to the Aurelia Fire Department and Ladell Rapp gave an illustrated talk on electricity.

Homemaker and church women host Sweden study and farewell supper

Pitcher Township Homemakers met at Mrs. Robert Reilly’s home with 13 women and 5 children. They planned a Friday 6:30 pot luck and Valentine party inviting husbands or guests and bringing own table service. Members discussed Sweden study, agriculture, and slides by Mrs. Don Conley. The United Church Women annual meeting followed with new officers installed and World Day of Prayer planned for March 5 in Aurelia. Maple Valley Friendship Club to hold a potluck farewell supper.
