A Saturday Nelson Cafe gathering drew 25 attendees with a 6 30 smorgasbord followed by a gift exchange. Five hundred was played at six tables and prizes went to various attendees. St Paul Ladies Aid met Dec 10 with Lois Roth as featured speaker recounting Miss Storm Lake Miss Iowa and Miss America experiences. Donations totaled 75 for Christmas Charities and missionary travel in Colombia. Retiring officers were thanked and refreshments served. Robert Sleezer celebrated his birthday at his grandfather Will Sleezer’s Cherokee home with family guests.
Douglas and Mr and Mrs Harry Williams with Mrs Winifred Ellason Mrs Helen Fogleman and Dr James Johansen of Cherokee attended a birthday gathering. A cake and homemade ice cream were served afterward.
