Christmas Socials and Club Gatherings Report
The WSCS held a 1 o clock Christmas luncheon at the Methodist church with 100 ladies attending. Tables featured white glow candles and popcorn snow balls with candy cane centers as favors. A program followed with songs by the high school sextette and a humorous reading. Mrs. Homer Bailey and Mrs. Clifford Ohlson led readings and narration. Mrs. Marian Haight, Jef and Laurie Will performed as soloists, with Mrs. Arthur Ohlson at the piano. Mrs. John Irwin hosted Friendship club at the Nelson cafe for a Christmas party and gift exchange culminating in a buffet luncheon. Secret Sisters Pinochle club met at Mrs. Oren Coombs home for a dessert luncheon and officers were elected with Mrs. Robert Miller as president and Mrs. Oren Coombs as vice president.
