Local families report visits and hospital stays as Terry and Dennis Bruce stay with grandparents while their mother is in the hospital. Funeral services were held in Cherokee for Nettie Simmons with many locals in attendance. Community members attend farm sales, visit relatives in Storm Lake and Washta, and travel to California after recent gatherings.
Aurelia easily defeated Primghar 47 to 24 on home floor to stay undefeated in conference play. G Beeghley led with 13 points, Westphal 12, K Beeghley 11, Kaskey 6, Coombs 4, Lockin 1. Primghar second team fell 27 to 18 as Nelson topped scorers with 6.
