F A C Christmas party canceled. January meeting slated. 500 card club hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Duane Gaudian with prizewinners Mrs. John Lockin and others. Cheerio Club attended by twelve members and five guests. final plans for the annual Christmas party and a gift exchange at Lester Mellon home. Officers elected. secret sisters gave gifts. entertainment led by Mrs. Earl Flannigan with prize winners. Tray lunch served.
Irene Zwemke reports a series of local social visits. Portland visitors Mr and Mrs Jerry Meyer stayed with the Earl Kuhrt family. Breda guests Darrell Hinkeldey and Dennis called on Art Brotherson. The Arlin Hinkeldey group and Frieda Grieme joined Mrs Alma Grieme for a birthday celebration at Albert Hinkeldey's home. Steve Winterhof from Iowa Falls visited Edgar Winterhof. The Sunset Corner Club met.
Mrs Floyd Getzmeier hosts a pot luck with Christmas party plans for Dec 4 at Ken A Bob's at 6 30 p m. Various ladies share quilting, birthdays and family visits while others attend campus events and bridal showers. An Iowa safety demonstration at Western Iowa Tech invites pre registration.
An automotive inspection station demonstration will be held December 10, 1971 at Western Iowa Tech in Northeast Sioux City to acquaint jobbers garage owners and service station managers with the Iowa law effective January 1, 1972. Additional demonstrations in western Iowa are planned.
Thanksgiving activities span multiple households. Alma Chaplin returns from Hitchcock South Dakota. the Rapps from Phoenix visit the Ervil Rapps. Dick Turner from Freeport joins Walter Turner and family in Nehawka. Evert Larsen Sr. visits Garrett Hiemstra in Kingsley. Ohlson relatives host and attend funeral services for Mrs. Fred Kamm in Sioux City. Ann Ohlson visits from Columbia Missouri with local Ohlsons sharing meals and greetings.
