Beth Browning Chooses Cheese and Courage at Brookville Store
Beth Browning walks the village square three times to summon courage then buys a pound of cheese from David Prescott. After a misstep with the cheese not quite weighed she overhears gossip from Gertrude and Sam Trimmer, apologizes to David, and plans a wedding trip in a Boll er car. The couple ends with Beth inviting David to supper as he closes the store.
