Cherokee Approves Spring Lake Purchase
Cherokee voters in a special election approved the park board buying Spring Lake and adjoining land to add to Wescott Park. A one mill tax for 10 years will raise about 32 000 dollars, with 17 500 paid to Mrs. M W Hoyt for a 57 78 acre tract. The plan funds beautification plus landscaping and new drives for the park and lake area.
