Conventions Shape Iowa Delegation And Politics
The Iowa Democratic convention shapes the party's national committeeman choice with Walter Bease of Scott County and G. G. Jeck of Atlantic favored over Frank Comfort. Delegates alter district seating rules, endorse Roosevelt for a fourth term and Wallace for vice president. John D. Zug returns home to Reinbeck after being rejected for service, with no clear successor named for Senator Wilson. In other notes, bonds and Bricker support stir talk and a Capitol letter hints at more in the back page.
