Mother-Daughter Tea and local society notes
About 150 attended the Mother-Daughter Tea at the Methodist Church Parlors. Highlights included a Welcome by Mrs. Edgar Allen, a pantomime on a girl's life with narrations, and songs by several performers. Roses were given to the oldest mothers and youngest infants honored guests. The event followed with a buffet luncheon, and local homemaker club activities were reported, including an Afton Farm Bureau meeting with Sweden-themed slides. Family birthday celebration for Marty Stutz and social notes from Cheerio Club and Ames activities complete the item.
