Sutherland powered to the Class B team title with 61 points while Crestland of Early won Class C with 64 at the fourth annual Bulldog Relays. Twelve meet records fell or tied as Aurelia, Alta, Lawton Bronson and others posted top marks in long jump, shot put, high jump and distance events.
Aurelia placed sixth with 19144 points at the annual Tomahawk Relays in Cherokee. Class B winner Cahokia 58, Sutherland 41, Meriden Cleghorn 40, Crestland Early 3514, Paullina 29. Aurelia scorers included Erwin Brake fourth in pole vault and Mark Tigges third in high jump.
Easter Sunday dinner and luncheon at the home of Mrs Mabel Gordon in Meriden included Mrs Jay Parrott Mr and Mrs Ralph Roethler Mr and Mrs Bob Parrott Carol Parrott of Minneapolis Bobbi Parrott of Yankton S D and Mr and Mrs Jim Gill and family of Meriden Also listed are guests at a pre Easter supper on Friday April 9 at the John Hyndman home with Mr and Mrs Winston Hyndman and family and visitors from the area
