W E Hensley Dead in a Greeley Township Accident
An accident in Greeley township on Tuesday February 20 resulted in the death of E Hensley who fell from a windmill tower while repairing the wheel. He died shortly after reaching home a quarter mile distant. He was born July 27 1848 in Fayette County Ohio and moved to Audubon county as a child. He leaves five children from his first marriage and four living children from his second marriage. He served as County Supervisor and was noted for community service. The funeral was held in Extra with Rev Voorhees officiating.

Infant Leonard Jennen Dies of Croup Near Exira
Leonard Jennen, eighteen months old, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Jennen, died Saturday night near Exira after a brief illness believed to be croup. A service was held at home then at the Christian church in Exira with Rev. L. F. Starr delivering the sermon. The body was interred in the Exira cemetery as the family mourns and thanks friends for support.

George Hoover and Harp Wilson took charge of the fairs finances about six years ago amid a debt near $1000. Now there is $620.28 on hand and all debts paid. Under their leadership new Floral hall Barn and amphitheater were built and growth is expected if continued rural unity persists.
