The Chicago Philharmonic Quartet performed last evening under the Business Men's Lecture Course at the E P Opera House. Despite being the best winter entertainment, attendance was weak, yet patrons praised the show and the town’s business leaders pledged future first class events.

Mrs C. Watterson Dies After Long Illness in Iowa
Mrs C. Watterson of Extra dies February 1 after six years of suffering. Born Carrie B. Kent in Warrenville Ohio November 20 1859 she moved to Iowa with family as a child. She married R C Watterson in 1876 and lived on a Greeley township farm before moving to Extra. Survived by husband two sons two daughters and her parents and siblings. Funeral from the Congregational Church at Extra conducted by Rev EH Votaw and Rev H L Wore. Burial in Extra cemetery.
