Marriage at Gray a Christmas Day Union

At the bride’s home in Gray on Christmas day at high noon Rev H G Hicks of Cambridge Indiana officiated the marriage of Professor K G Lancelot second son of the Audubon County Journal editor and Miss Mary Higgins of Gray. Lancelot, a longtime teacher, rose to principal and superintendent roles in Audubon County schools. Higgins, a noted teacher native to the county, is praised for character and accomplishments. The Journal wishes follow them with hopeful regards.

Christmas concert at Congregational church delights crowd

A festive Christmas program at the Congregational church Saturday night featured a decorated tree and elegant arrangements by the decoration committee. Dr Oldaker’s class choir delivered fine music while younger members and trained participants demonstrated faithful preparation and skill. Santa Claus and sponsors earned praise for gifts and fund drives providing apples, candy, and presents for Sunday School scholars. The program included recitations, solos, and various exercises led by the choir under Mrs Oldaker’s supervision.
