Boy is Injured While Stealing Ride on Towpath Train
Chester Phillips, 12, son of Lon Phillips, narrowly escaped losing a foot when his foot became caught between a wheel and a tie on a Tow path train. He sustained a broken metatarsal and deep lacerations. Dr Sullivan treated the injuries after his father carried him to the office.

Man dies from fire injuries after rescuing grandson
Alfred Gamble died of pneumonia and burns nine hours after rescuing his three year old grandson from a coal oil fire in Winthrop. The child perished Thursday night. Hunter Injured by Accident Near West Point
Frank Vester was shot eight times in the head and hands in a hunting mishap Saturday near West Point. He was ahead of David B. Clark and Perry Wright while attempting to scare rabbits when another hunter fired at quail. The wounds are painful but not serious.
