Taxes Delinquent After October First Penalty

County Treasurer T W Brown warns that taxes for the last half of the year become delinquent on October 1 with a one percent monthly penalty assessed on unpaid property. Taxes are collected in the usual manner and properties unpaid by December may go to tax sale.

Deafness Cure Claim via Constitutional Remedies

Advertisement proclaims deafness cannot be cured by local applications and promotes Hall's Catarrh Cure as the remedy. Claims nine of ten deafness cases stem from catarrh, offers $100 for any cure not achieved, and lists Toledo, Ohio as origin with 76 cent price through druggists.
