The couple left on the midnight train for Council Bluffs Sunday evening and kept the wedding secret from friends. They returned Monday afternoon to their home.

Early signs include fever loss of appetite and rapid flesh loss. advanced stages show mouth and tongue swelling and protrusion. Some cases show foot involvement. Avoca Man Roscoe Barton Dies in Cellar Fall
Special to the Telegraph Avoca Sept 7 Roscoe Barton of Avoca fell down cellar stairs at his home last night, breaking his neck and dying instantly. His wife and son were away and returned about nine, found the body. A doctor declared no aid possible. Funeral at two with Elks lodge charge at the grave. Barton, about 45, longtime Avoca resident, attorney, former secretary of the fair association. He leaves wife and one child.
