The advertisement touts a grocery department with fresh goods at unbeatable prices and a full line of crockery and tinware. It offers produce exchange for goods and claims to pay the highest market price, inviting customers to inspect stock and visit the store to feel at home.
Local notes recount among week’s events in Dexter and surrounding towns. Mentions visits by Dr Rishel and Mrs Trede, shipments of livestock and machinery, multiple weddings, depot improvements, and a Rock Island president’s car passing through. Also notes arrival of the Twenty fourth Infantry at Fort Douglass and expo preparations.
At seven o clock this morning Miss Margaret Gould and Mr Bernard Boyle were married by Father Daly at SS Peters and Paul church in a large gathering of intimate friends.
