Cuba War Documents Not Yet Furnished to Congress
Secretary of State Olney has not sent a full reply or documents on the Cuban war to Congress. A committee member says most materials will be forwarded soon without a formal message, possibly handed to the committee chair rather than the speaker. Much material comprises confidential consul reports from Cuba. In Panama, the Goldin, carrying Antonio Ezeta, was detained for neutrality law violations and arms bound for Salvador rebels. About 100 silver men met at Willard Hall in Washington to form a conference under the American Bimetallic League led by General A J Warner, with plans for resolutions and a national convention.
