Dr BE G Nourse Iowa State College says average farmer savings in marketing costs run about 35 cents per hundred pounds. Cooperative shipping associations in Sows doubled last year from 57 active in 1916 to 310 formed. Approximately 27.5 percent of the total livestock business of the state is handled through these coops.
