Bear Grove News Budget Plays Host to School Changes

Miss Baude Brillhart will teach Brookside No 2 Bear Grove after Ruth Wilken’s resignation at Atlantic. A slight frost touched the area Monday night with no harm. Mr and Mrs Hart Hodge of Omaha visited the Brillhart and Wissler families. Geo Wissler owns a new Studebaker. They toured Pleasant Ridge with Mr and Mrs Parl Hodge. Jesse McCarthy of western Nebraska visits the Brillhart home. The Lyman annual conference starts Friday and continues all week.

Heavy fighting reports come from France with German attacks southeast of Verdun and an eleven mile French advance toward Gen. van Kluck's right flank. North Sea losses include 1133 British seamen with 1067 rescued after three cruisers sink. Adriatic battles see Austrian ships Maria Theresa and Admiral Staun damaged in a fleet clash with the French.
