L L Langworthy, born June 29, 1887 in Princeton Wisconsin, a long time Massena resident, rode with aviator Harry G Smith at the Massena district fair, becoming an air traveler at age eighty two. His life spanned ox teams to airplanes as he recalled enlisting in 1861 and serving until 1865 in the Union Army.
The Cass County Fair association reports debt paid off with building notes totaling 6800 dollars. This year’s receipts exceed 14,000 dollars, marking a banner year at the fair.
