New York Oct 19 A pledge to back the Interchurch campaign with 1 000 000 was confirmed by the Presbyterian church finance committee and the general assembly executive commission. The promise is regarded as a debt of honor and a quiet drive will finish the fund while the Methodist board of foreign missions paid 1 000 000 in cash. Samuel S Palmer moderator of the Presbyterian general assembly attended the conference.
