Service Man Weds Miss Hendrix in Griswold City
The ceremony took place yesterday afternoon at the office of Dustive Preasnall. Miss Alice Hendrix of Tewis and Calvin Robbins of Griswold were married with Robbins recently returning from wartime service in France. The couple will reside with the bride’s grandparents in Lew Fortine and start their new life near Griswold.

DEDICATE STATE PARK NEAR KEOSAUQUA IN DES MOINES RIVER LAND
The new state park about 900 acres along the Des Moines River near Keosauqua will be dedicated on Wednesday October 27 with Governor W L Harding and Dr L H W Pammel speaking. A community meeting on the eve of dedication will discuss future game preservation policy and a fox hunt program is planned. Local residents contributed to preserve the area’s natural beauty and the Women's Cemetery Association will meet October 22 at 3 p.m. to elect officers.
