Mary McAninch and Ela Mey Westerlund will represent Grant high school in the state declamatory contest after winning first in the dramatic and humorous divisions at the home contest Thursday evening. Second place winners Nadine Westerlund and Mary Eileen Chalmers will compete in the county contest next spring. Miss Marie Schalekampe, dramatic instructor at Red Oak junior college, served as critic judge.
