Lieutenant Colonel J Pile of the 82d Division is noted for extraordinary heroism near Norroy France on September 15 1918 where he reorganized disorganized forces despite mortal wounds and continued directing until completion. Next of kin Martha Agnes Pile daughter Des Moines Iowa.
London dispatch reports Potsdam Soldiers and Workers' Committee learning William Hohenzollern plans a return to Germany due to disturbances in Holland. Berlin Anzeiger says he will likely be allowed to go back. Prince Eitel Friedrich appeals to the garrison to support the new government in Germany.
