D A Ross father of attorney J H Ross and Lial Ross of Audubon died at his Cedar Rapids home Sunday from a stroke. He was a former alderman and helped erect the Second Avenue bridge. He was active in church, Masonic circles, and city beautification. Funeral services Sunday afternoon drew one of the largest crowds in Cedar Rapids.

Current leaders Mrs McClyman of Walnut with 68550 votes and Miss Minnis Parker of Harlin with 67225 are ahead, while Lawson trails at 67200 as votes tighten before December 2%.
