A fire in the Washington post office department building on Pennsylvania Avenue between 12th and 13th streets caused heavy smoke and water damage to the eight floor. At least three people were injured including two FCC employees and an AP reporter. Fire officials say the blaze started in a transformer room and was tamed after hours of effort.
