Special to the News Telegraph Des Moines May 8 Members of the Iowa Medical society revolted against local meeting arrangements and moved to a church, deeming the Auditorium noisy and unsafe for germ concerns. The day focused on insanity heredity and private diseases with Dr Witte claiming 60 80 percent of the insane owe to heredity. Dr Jarvis of Oskaloosa put 80 percent of men at some time attacked by black plague and urged strict enforcement of the new Iowa law. Time clocks for state house staff, postmasters convention, and auto number delays also reported.

Convict Aviator Lindsay Granted Temporary Stay
Des Moines May 8 The hand of the law that would send Harr Lindsay of Colfax to Fort Madison for life has been stayed to allow him to earn 5000 for his family after penal servitude begins. The supreme court postponed rehearing until fall. Lindsay, convicted in 1908 for criminal assault, has become an aviator using the name Earl Warmulth. He remains free on his bond and is contracted for aviation work this summer, which could supply the family with 5000. The court delayed the rehearing to consider this opportunity to provide for his family while still under appeal.
