W A Follett for County Attorney, W H Huff for State Representative, A C Highley for Supervisor, G O M Hobart for County Recorder, and other local assertions all subject to June 7 1920 party primary decisions.
County records show Jesse N. Jones declaring candidacy for the Republican nomination for Cass County treasurer. He states the choice rests with Republican voters at the upcoming primary, dated June 7.
Voters of the party will decide in the June primary whether A. A. Emich remains a candidate in the Clark district court race. The party nominates through the upcoming primary.

In Cass county Iowa probate district court Lucy P White has been appointed and qualified as administratrix of the estate of Daniel W White deceased. All persons indebted must pay the estate and those with claims must present them by law for allowance and payment. Dated April 20 1920 EB Willard attorney for administratrix.

Walter James Watson alias James R Huirt, alleged superbigamist and murderer, offered to lead a search across the sandy waste between Imperial and San Diego counties for Nina Lee Delaney’s body. Officers say he confessed to killing Delaney and four other women.
The city of Atlantic Iowa calls Clean-Up Week starting Monday May 10 to remove rubbish ashes and trash to prevent illness. Afterward the health board will inspect yards and alleys and any debris left will be condemned. A $10 fine applies if rubbish is not removed within three days of notice. Mayor J Burner signed May 3 1920. Also noted is attorney Thomas B Swan and wife returning from California around May 25.

An unusual ad touts Danderine with claims that after applying Dandering no hair falls out and all hairs show new life and vigor. It asserts hair becomes brighter thicker and more colorful with repeated use.
Dr L E Thomas of Golden Illinois will present a free lecture titled The Broad Law and Balanced Rations. The event is sponsored by the Farmers Union of Bear Grove township and will take place Wednesday evening May 6 at the congregational church. Everyone is invited.
Washington May 4 Senator Lodge Republican leader reads into the senate record a declaration by prominent men regretting the presidents recent reflections on France and Italy. The document cites Wilsons remarks on the Fiume question calling attention to a militaristic party in France.

Evidence presented at hearings before United States Commissioner Alexander Gilchrist links Benjamin Binkowits, a bank messenger slain in Milford, to a staged theft of $178,000 in securities. A hired assassin killed him after he refused to surrender the securities for $3,000, tying the case to Nicholas Arnstein, a fugitive said to mastermind $1,000,000 in securities theft.
Mary E Hough seeks divorce from Henry A Hough with grounds including a felony conviction in 1918 and cruel and inhuman treatment. The petition asks restoration of maiden name Mary E Dougan and further equitable relief. Case filed in Cus County Iowa district court with appearance required by June term 1920. attorney Ovid Swan represents plaintiff.
