Early today a car driven by Gary Lee Gray crashed into the rear of a stock truck driven by Harland Rhoads one half mile west of the Cass Pottawattamie line on Highway 6. Bernal F. Floward and Gray suffered severe head lacerations with Floward in critical condition at Atlantic Memorial Hospital and Gray reported improving after surgery.

Cosmic ray equipment found on farm near Earlville
A 300 pound package launched from a balloon for cosmic ray research was found on a farm south of Earlville New York.
