A called meeting of the Woman's City Club convened Monday in Commercial Club rooms. Members heard committee reports on cemetery work, depot sanitation, park parking, music school plans, stray dogs, rest room, curfew enforcement, fountain upkeep, and garbage funding. The Receiver of the Atlantic Northern and Southern Railway Company announces a public sale on March 21, 1913, at the north door of the Cass county Courthouse in Atlantic Iowa, for the railroad from Kimballton to Villisca and all property of the company except funds held by the receiver. Bids must be written with a 5 percent certified check, and bids are grouped by line segments including north of the Chicago Rock Island and Pacific right of way and south portions with engine No. 63. The sale closes with court confirmation on April 8, 1913, and payment of the balance by May 1, 1913.
