Polk county district court in Des Moines held that Old Reserve beef and iron and wine preparation and 13 cent booze fall under the law to destroy twenty five seized cases. The court ordered wholesalers druggists and beverage leaders to remove from their premises.
Hearings before the United States Railroad Labor Board in Chicago reveal that six men repairing an engine in the Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis, and Omaha shops were paid five hours for thirty minutes of work after the regular day. The extra half hour was treated as an additional shift under Rule No. 7, illustrating how federally controlled agreements compel over payment and continuous-service wages beyond actual hours worked.
