The Democratic county convention at the Odd Fellows hall named Harold B. Siegler son of A H F Ziegler of Anita as candidate for county attorney in the fall election. The move followed a primary with only one vote for Ziegler and faced questions of legality but proceeded without argument. J F McGovern was reelected county chairman 12 to 5 after the convention adjourned, and a doubled delegation to the state convention was chosen to extend party presence.

Bride of Four Months slain in Lowell murder suicide
At a Lowell Massachusetts home a 30 year old bride, Mrs Delimere Ame, was choked to death by her husband after a party. He then surrendered to police. The incident followed a domestic dispute and the couple had been married only four months.

Dickson to Grand Jury In Bootlegging Case
Charles Dickson, colored, was arrested last night on bootlegging charges and brought before Mayor Buroea. He was sent to await the grand jury action in September. Chris Mickelsen testified Dickson paid $1 for a pint of whisky in late May. Dickson claimed he could prove he was not in Atlanta then. Bond set at $300, or he goes to county jail. Hughes Hearing Continued. Walter Hughes, colored, also charged with bootlegging, had preliminary hearing adjourned to 9 a.m. Monday after pleading not guilty and seeking a lawyer.

United Doctors Cite Move to Cedar Rapids
