Dismisses Big Damage Suits In Des Moines Court ruling
In Des Moines on June 24 Judge Smith McPherson dismissed three damage suits brought by J. H. Mitchell Earl Sheets and Alburt Reed of Shenandoah against I. T. Neff and Lester Strawn for 100000. The court sustained a motion by defendants that service was improper. The plaintiffs alleged slanderous remarks and fraud to indict before a LaSalle grand jury linked to Swanson Manufacturing’s move from Shenandoah to Marseilles Iowa.
