City Council Reverses Sewer Contract Bids
At adjourned session the Atlantic city council returned sewer bids unread due to two missing resolution sheets. They set Friday to readvertise and pass a new resolution of necessity, delaying bids by about thirty days. Anita Man Declared Insane in Court Hearing
Martin Petty aged 78 of Anita was adjudged insane by the board of insanity commissioners at a courthouse hearing. Samuel Petty, his brother, swore to the information. The condition is attributed to old age. he has lived with his sister, Mrs. K B McDermott, for years. Sheriff Bosley took him to Clarinda. Samuel Petty requested temporary guardian B D Forshay, to be made permanent at the September term. Judge Rockafellow appointed temporary guardian today.
