Girl Killed by Auto at County Fair Race Track
Osage Indiana June 19 nine year old Elya Armstrong was instantly killed when she darted into a running car on the fair ground race track in the grand stand presence of her parents Mr and Mrs Henry Armstrong and a large crowd. Driver A M Caes could not avoid the tragedy despite attempts to stop. The crash ended the day’s events and cast gloom over the good roads celebration and baseball game with over 500 autos in use.
