Kimballton Vacation school opened Monday with three instructors. Miss Helen Atoft from Tyler Minnesota teaches at the Henning Rasmussen home while Margaret Nelson of Cordova Nebraska stays at the Nels Christoffersen home and Edwin Petersen from Luck Wisconsin at the Guy Christensen home. The four week program features folk dancing gym craft hand work Bible study and Danish language and will end with an exhibition.

Dement family heads to Denver for convention

Anita Mr and Mrs Alfred Dement left Wednesday for Denver to attend a two day real estate meeting. They travel with daughter Mrs Glen Ternberry and her husband from Muscatine and Mrs Chas Gipple. Mrs Gipple plans a 10 day visit with Miss Christine Hollen. The Teraberry children remain with grandmother Mrs James McCosh and aunt Mrs Russell Holland.

Elk Horn Legion and Auxiliary Elect Officers

The Elk Horn Legion and Auxiliary met at the town hall Tuesday and elected Raynold Nelsen as commander Kenneth Larsen as vice commander Leslie Exsbeck as adjutant Bruce Thomsen as chaplain Byron Nielsen as finance Howard Hansen as historian Hans Weddum as sergeant at arms for the Legion. The Auxiliary chose Mrs Alfred Hansen as president Mrs Kenneth Larsen as vice president Mrs Bruce Thomsen as secretary Mrs Carl Bonnesen as treasurer Mrs Woersaa Kelger as sergeant at arms Mrs Ed Krogstad as chaplain and Mrs Oscar Boose as historian. The group donated 25 dollars to the playground project and sent gifts to hospital patients. Dinner was served at noon and Ed Esbeck showed movies while the afternoon was social.

Funeral services set for Saturday for Tommy Kelley eight year old son of Mr and Mrs Gene Kelley. The child was flown to a Boston children’s hospital for treatment before his death yesterday.
