Dr. F. W. Porterfield formerly of this city now in Waterloo is named as the physician on the city board for the conscription registration.

New steel filing cases for the office of the district court clerk have arrived and will be put in place to store records. The arrival signals readiness to organize case files and support ongoing court operations.
The board of supervisors, urged by Judge Thornell, decided to replace wooden filing cases with steel ones to reduce fire risk. The plan calls for purchasing steel cases for one courthouse office each year.

Belle Hastings left Brayton to visit Toledo Ohio with her mother. Mrs Ward Smith and H. S. Wattles attended Vera Croy's Extra Thursday night and the graduation exercises.
