Ford refuses flight despite aviation interest in Ford air service
Detroit June 1 Henry Ford, keen on commercial aviation, has never flown and likely never will. He spoke during a tour of the Ford air service linking Dearborn and Chicago, saying he has no desire to understand flying. He once raced cars against top drivers but rarely drives now amid car industry traffic. In a separate report, a lightning strike caused a barn fire on the Ackerman farm near Spenser, destroying grain, farm implements, and stock with losses around 5000 dollars.
