ANHEUSER BUSCH of St Louis unveils plans for a vast Bevo plant covering two city blocks with 26 acres of floor space. The proposed basement 30 feet high houses 13 tracks for ten cars each. The project will employ about 2,500 workers and boast a bottling capacity of two million bottles daily, equivalent to 140 car loads per eight hour day.
Poet Walt Mason laments he cannot fight and must support victory from home. He praises farmers and garden work as the war effort, vowing to toil to keep the record straight and help win the war through crops and food production.
