North Atlantic defenses at Ponet will be tested in a sequence of mine warfare maneuvers starting July 2. A fleet of torpedo destroyers and two mine layers will practice repelling an attacking fleet, with Anen represented in the exercise.
London July 26 Premier Asquith asked the House of Commons for a vote of credit of 2 450000000. This would raise total votes this year to £1 050 006 000 and since war start to £2 892 000 000 about $14 160 000 000.
