Ames reports Iowa paved 46.58 miles of the primary road system in 1920 with 102.52 miles graded 409.82 miles graded and 221.3 miles drained. At season end 96 projects in 56 counties were underway and will extend into 1921, with total paving and drainage work estimated between 6 and 7 million dollars.
