Springfield il January 17.4 Glen Young a federal prohibition enforcement officer faced a federal murder trial for the November 6 shooting of Luke Vukovich at Madison. Young admits firing in self defense after Vukovich attacked him. Vukovich a 45 year old laborer was killed. A coroner’s jury exonerated Young but a state investigation led to a murder indictment. Government defense led by Attorney General Palmer with Robert Patten assisting. Trial moved to federal court to protect federal workers. Young previously faced abuse in jail and a frame up accusation from Emilia Bombardissi.
