Mrs Christina Want tall dies at 1004 Maple Street after illness since Christmas. Born in Mecklenburg Germany August 16 1833 she came to America with her father in 1833. Married Charles Westfall in 1857 later moved to farms near Iowa City Walnut and Grettinger. Survived by seven children and many friends.
A deputy clerk at the courthouse refused a marriage license to L. H. Hall and Gladys Grimes from Anita due to the bride’s minor age and lack of parental or guardian consent. The couple, both from Anita, planned to hire a guardian to approve the marriage. meanwhile an exhibition of dancing by Mrs. Hedges Street and Walter Faust entertained about fifty at the K O hall. Plans were announced to tear up the railroad rally on the Atlantic Southern line as weather allows, with an engine and push cars readied for the work.

H G Littlepage of Morton Gap district brought a six inch ferrous flalmstone statue from a cave on elevated North Christian county land. The rudely carved seated figure shows bands on its knees and arms extended forward. It’s described as a relic of an early dol worshiping people antedating local Indian mound finds.

Damages by defective bridges cost 597.50 and farmers institute expenses were 375.00. A Ford was shipped to Many Louisiana from Attica, transferred from H. F. Malone.
