Des Moines Jan. 14 Rachel Revell of Guthrie Center a former rural school teacher told the secretary of state she would run as a Republican for the Iowa house of representatives from Guthrie county. She has previously sought public office including secretary of state and state superintendent.
The Claussen Skelly oil station held a grand opening with free coffee and doughnuts for visitors. By 5 p m about 300 doughnuts had been eaten and cake and cookies were added to the complimentary treats.
Adair Avey departed Monday for Los Angeles to visit his daughter Mrs. Joe Berran and her family.
