UCIGALPA Honduras Jan 2 Colonel Charles A Lindbergh arrived at 1 55 p m standard time after flying from San Salvador amid great citizen turnout. Honduran officials and representatives of American legation welcomed and escorted him through streets to the reviewing stand. A program was planned, with a likely stay Thursday before a flight to Managua. In Mexico City Lindbergh is reportedly in a classroom setting at a high school, following completion of the long flight.
The county board approved pay raises for three deputies plus assistants, raising deputy salaries from 110 to 120 dollars a month and the deputy sheriff from 105 to 120 dollars. Court custodian NH L Frost and others received new contracts and the board named three county papers for another year while rejecting ceiling contracts for courthouse ceilings. The board shifted party balance slightly with Frank Pelzer replacing C E Zellmer, giving Republicans two seats to Democrats three.
