Death claims Ed Smith in Atlantic home
Ed Smith, aged 72, died at 8:20 this morning at 404 Birch Street Atlantic of tuberculosis after an eighteen month illness. Born September 22, 1872, in Jefferson, Green County, he moved to Corning as a boy and later to Atlantic in 1899. He was married to Rose on August 28, 1902, and leaves three daughters, three sisters, and two brothers. Services are planned for Monday afternoon at the home with burial in Atlantis Cemetery.
