Viola-Ardis Ward of Conway accompanied by Bud Burtchard was in Sac City on business Monday. Carl Reed, bus driver for Interstate Lines of Kansas City, visited his family here this week.
Mr and Mrs Gerald Snyder relocate from Afton to Massena to run the Walter Beck dairy. They have leased milking and cooling equipment from the Becks, who now work in California and will occupy the Beck residence. Snyder is a Cass county native near Griswold and the couple has one child.
Three grandsons of Sioux City newspaper founders returned to work as stereotypers at the Journal-Tribune Publishing Co after a walkout by union members over wages and vacations. The pinch-hitters include John C. Kelly and Eugene F. Kelly, grandsons of Tribune founder John C. Kelly, and William Perkins, grandson of Journal founder George D. Perkins.
