On February 19 1920 more than fifty friends gathered at Mare to honor Mr and Mrs Wheeler on their fortieth wedding anniversary. A mock re marriage ceremony led by Rev Stewart included playful ghosts and questions for the groom. Cashier Mr Beebe spoke of forty years of marriage and presented sterling silverware as a keepsake.
